Goal: finish the deal with the fewest points. Hearts are
trouble you want to dodge, and the ♠ Queen is worth a bundle.
Setup
- Four players (you vs three computers), 13 cards each.
- Each hand starts by passing three cards: left, then right, then across, then nothing, and it repeats.
- Whoever holds the ♣2 leads it to open the first trick.
Taking tricks
- You must follow the suit that was led if you can. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, and the winner leads next.
- Only the led suit counts: an Ace of another suit still loses to the lowest card of the suit that was led. The opening card is marked led and off-suit discards are shown faded.
- There is no trump. Hearts may not be led until a heart has been discarded on some other suit (that "breaks" hearts).
Scoring
- Every ♥ you capture is 1 point. The ♠Q is 13 points.
- Shooting the moon: capture all 13 hearts and the ♠Q in one hand and you score 0 while everyone else takes 26.
- Scores pile up hand after hand. When anyone reaches 100, the game ends and the lowest total wins.
Playing
